Athens, February 2007 – British pro audio manufacturer LA Audio announces that TV studio, TSILI incorporated the 12 channel microphone splitter, MS1224 into their system for music reality show “Fame Story II”, initially aired in Greece towards the end of last year. Tsili, one of Greece’s biggest TV studios which films many music TV shows, now adds its name to the growing list of LA Audio’s wide range of satisfied customers around the world.
George Kosmopoulos oversaw the installation of the Athens based television studio project explains, “The system comprises 60 channels of mic inputs. The MS1224 is used to split the mic inputs into outputs for three sound mixers. When the MS1224 is not being used on the show, it performs other splitting functions at various stages of production.”
Kosmopoulos confirms that this was the right decision. “The entire technical team is very satisfied with this system. It allows easy use, gives great sound quality and ensured a very flexible set-up.”
The MS1224 is a 12 channel 1 into 4 unity gain active microphone splitter designed for applications where multiple feeds are required from one set of microphones, without the signal degradation experienced with passive splitting solutions. The unity gain design principle combined with excellent line driving ability ensures that unity levels are delivered at the end of each feed, even over considerable distance, thereby saving time in recalibrating levels.
Kosmopoulos agreed that “The installation using the MS1224 LA Audio mic splitter certainly exceeded our expectations.”
